Prepare a CSV or Excel File for Smart Import

Clean source data before uploading it to reduce mapping and validation errors.

Recommended columns

Include a transaction or row ID, transaction date, employee ID or email, location ID, product or activity type, quantity or RGU value, revenue, and commission amount when available.

File preparation

  1. Keep one header row.
  2. Remove merged cells, subtotals, and decorative headings.
  3. Use one data type per column.
  4. Format dates consistently.
  5. Use stable employee and location identifiers.
  6. Save a copy of the original file before editing.

Do not upload

Do not include card numbers, bank details, government identifiers, medical data, passwords, or unrelated sensitive information.
